There are so many things I could wish for at Christmas time. Peace on Earth. Good will toward all humankind. A best-selling book. Get Published Episode 142 – Portal Anthology News

For those of you new to the show, let me tell you about a project I’ve been working on with Jeffrey Hite. We decided a little over a year ago that we should do another anthology together. Our first anthology, A Method to the Madness: A Guide to the Super Evil was picked up and published by 5 Rivers Publishing. We had a lot of fun doing that anthology and decided to do another. Motivation

There are definitely times when I am feeling somewhat less than motivated to work on that next book or story. I know I’ve got deadlines, but the story is dragging or I’m tired or not feeling well. Then there are times when I simply cannot wait to get the next book written. Those are, I’m happy to say, happening more and more frequently. NaNoWriMo – Update

NaNoWriMo. The word, to those of us who know what it represents, elicits a broad range of emotions. For some, it strikes fear. For others, it is an opportunity. I think it’s safe to say I fall in the later category. I like having the challenge of writing 50,000 words in 30 days in front of me. It gets my creative juices flowing. It also makes me go further than I probably should; I make bigger challenges for myself. For example, I decided to write 70,000 words in November instead of the normal 50,000.
