The final post. But is it really? See, we are doing something a bit different than all my other books. First off, it will be released in English (normal), Spanish and Canadian French. I have been very fortunate to have friends able to do those translations for me. This book is so special to me, I want to share it as widely as I can. I finally had a rough draft of the story. I had a filled in story template. I didn’t yet have the name Super Sonya vs the Woodpecker. I sent the story template on to McQuina (my illustrator) to review. This all took much longer than I expected. I set a meeting with McQuina to talk next steps. I think this was about June. Next steps We discussed the book and how we would proceed. Now, keep in mind, I’ve done book layouts in the past but never anything with illustrations. What would we use to build the book? Happy New Year!

Shocking title for a post, I know. Who else in the world would think to name a post “Happy New Year!” on New Year’s day, after all. I am nothing if not derivative. 2024 – A Year of Loss and Recovery I will be the first to admit, COVID knocked the wind out of me. Perhaps not physically, but certainly emotionally. Yes, you caught me. I cheated on the title of this post. Instead of “The Children’s book, pt 2”, I’m calling it by its actual title. Might as well start calling it what it is.
