System Failure

For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you know I pride myself on never missing a post.

That seems to have fallen by the wayside in the previous few months as I have missed my self-imposed Wednesday posting more than once (this week included). But, why is this happening?

Well, unfortunately, it isn’t just one thing. I like to think I can recover from one issue or another, but when there are multiple ones…let’s just say recovery is more difficult.

For example, the day job is challenging. I won’t say more than that, but I am leaving at the end of the day mentally and emotionally drained. I’m pretty sure I’m not unique in that, so I will just put that as one of the many things that are going on.

The second is, the sheer number of writing and podcasting projects I currently have on the go. I know I’ve given you a list before, so I won’t waste your time with it again. Suffice it to say, there are a bunch, all of which need my time and creative energy.

Scouts have started again. That requires at least one night per week. A night I didn’t really have to give up. Still, it is important so I make the sacrifice.

Life. To quote a famous android: “Life. Don’t talk to me about life.”

That’s the whole sad story. All those things have put me a little behind. Apologies for the late (and not terribly useful) post.

I CAN end it on a positive note, however. The YA Steampunk collaboration I’m doing with JR Murdock is finally past beta revisions. That means we are looking for Beta readers. If you are interested in helping JR and I out, please drop me a line.

Have a good week!
