Reconnected

After a hiatus, JR Murdock and I have reconnected.

You might remember me talking about wanting to work on the third Jack Kane book. I am here to tell you that we are both on board with getting that book written. Our goal is to have a viable book by June. I say viable meaning a book that has already gone through some edits and might be in shape to send to our publisher.

We had a great chat as we discussed reinvigorating the book. Both of us have had a few setbacks over the past couple years. Not an identical journey by any means but one that seemed to have a similar trajectory. It is good to reconnect.

We had left it at around 20K last time. We don’t intend to drop what we’ve done. Instead, we’ll pick up where we left off.

What comes next?

Holidays are coming fast and we both have lots going on this holiday season. That being said, we committed to rereading what we’ve done so far and pick up from there.

JR Murdock was the next in line to do some writing (we sort of write a scene then tag the other to pick it up – he writes mainly the protagonists and I write the antagonists). I have some plotting to do on the other two books I’m writing next year and then I’m going to jump back into Jack Kane 3.

Again, we plan to have a book in June if not sooner.

In other news…

I’m trying to come up with a proper title for Mik Murdoch 5. If you have followed the series so far, the titles have been (in order):

    • Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero
    • Mik Murdoch: The Power Within
    • Mik Murdoch: Crisis of Conscience
    • Mik Murdoch: Identity Troubles.

Yes, I know they almost sound like self-help books. 🙂 The titles have been intended to both give an abstract glimpse into what the book is about and chronicle the chapters of Mik’s superhero journey.

Hopefully, I can come up with something catchy.
