What a Difference a Day Makes

I’ve been struggling as of late. The writing is not happening as often as I want and I always seem to be playing catch-up for other things too. It has been a difficult slog. I now know how a salmon feels.

Today changed that in a number of ways.

First, my Cub Pack held its first meeting of the year back in our regular meeting place. Every year we lose the school we meet in for the month of January. The leadership (including me) has to find alternate activities and meeting places and so on. It is difficult and not all that much fun. Tonight, back in our normal digs with the program back on track everything was awesome. The energy from the Cubs was fantastic and really re-energized me.

Second, it looks like I might (just might, mind you) be going to World Fantasy Convention in San Diego. There are a few reasons why this is important to me and I promise to tell you more in future entries but not at this very moment (Wow, this cliff-hangering stuff is fun :)). Suffice it to say, there are several important people I hope to meet face-to-face.

Third, my family and friends are all doing well for which I am exceptionally grateful.

It’s not a long list, but it has changed my own perception. It has allowed me to focus more on what I’m doing and be more upbeat about my own projects (and life in general).

I’m still faced by a HUGE pile of things to do but I’ve managed to realize once again that stressing about the entire list won’t do anything but freak me out. That understanding back in place, I am now breaking everything into manageable bite-sized chunks like I’m supposed to.

Personal Update

Back on track. I’m doing a bit of several things but not stressing about all. I will share more as I’m able.
