Get Published Episode 141 - Spencer Estabrooks Talks Film & Screenwriting

I have a confession to make. I LOVE movies. Okay, I get that doesn’t rank up there with anything too profound, but it is true nontheless.

And so, when I was at the Lethbridge Comic Expo and had the chance to meet a filmmaker, I jumped at the chance. The filmmaker was a local person who has been making some really fun independent films. The films are doing well and, I learned, have been at least partially funded by my company. Then I learned he has been doing a webseries called one hit die. Again, really fun stuff.

So, I talked to him and learned a bit more about what he is doing. And it turns out, he is doing a lot. He is writing the screen plays, directing producing and marketing his work. He is also doing all that difficult leg work to find funding for it too. That makes him an all-around threat.

So, I invited Spencer Estabrooks, the him I’ve been talking about, to come on Get Published to talk about screen writing.

Spencer talks about his work, his writing and his efforts to get his fims out to the broader world. He is a fantastic guy and I was delighted to get the chance to talk to him. I know, I’ve picked up a book on screenwriting so I can take a stab at it myself.

Cause, I simply don’t have enough to do already.
