I’m afraid the no writing in the morning or at mid day trend continued today. The snow keeps falling and the people on the roads keep driving poorly so I have to (a) shovel every morning and (b) leave extra early so I can actually make it to work on time. My evening output wasn’t terribly stellar either but for a very good reason. My daughter took me out to see Harry Potter 7pt1 for my Christmas present. NaNoWriMo – Day 18
Today was not a normal writing day for me. The snow continues to fall (I think we are up to or very close to twelve inches or twenty-six centimetres of snow in the last three days) and people continue to get worse in their driving. I managed almost 450 words before I had to brave the blowing snow and go to work. The roads were no worse than yesterday but the drivers were. What is normally a 20 minute commute was 45 today (yesterday too, unfortunately). Such is life in a northern city, I suppose. I didn’t have any opportunity to write at lunch time so […]

For those of you who write for the pure enjoyment of it, you can ignore most of what I’m about to say. For the rest of you… well, read on. The first thing we writers need to realize is that publishers, editors and agents are people just like us. They love, they have lives and, most importantly, they need the same essentials we do in order to survive. That usually means a requirement for money of some type. If they are professional publishers/editors/agents they must earn money through […]
