I love helping other people spread the word about what they are working on. I even like talking about what I’m working on. What (I think) I am terrible at is promoting my own finished work. In this case, I’m talking specifically about Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero. As you probably know, Mik Murdoch was released last August. I have tweeted about it. I have created a Facebook Group and I have received several great reviews about it. On today’s episode, I get to talk to someone who has seen publishing and the writing industry from several different directions. She is a writer, editor, slush pile reader, writing instructor and published author. Barbara Galler-Smith couples that with a wealth of varied life experiences and has a lot of interesting things to say. I also talk about my experiences collaborating on a novel with JR […]

Covers are a very important part of any book. A good cover can intrigue and encourage readers to try a book they might not otherwise look at and a bad one might just cause that same reader to pass it by. In today’s show, I talk to Cover Designer, writer, voice artist and podcaster, Starla Huchton about covers and what she thinks are important considerations. We also talk about how taking a chance in a writing contest has given valuable exposure to her writing. I also talk about something that I hadn’t really thought about before and that is an author’s signing survival kit. That’s today’s episode. I hope you enjoy it.
