There are days when I’m totally on top of things and others where I feel like I’m spinning out-of-control. I thought today was going to be an “on top of things day”. I got up early. Felt more or less refreshed so things were looking up. Then my bus didn’t show up and it all went downhill. I think my house of cards is starting to get too tall. So, I sat back, took stock of the situation and regrouped* (*Note: this was after a 1-hour work meeting that I hold weekly). Mik Murdoch: The Power Within Update
I have been asked by many people, “When is the next Mik Murdoch book coming out?” While I don’t have a definitive date for the release of the next book, I can assure you, I am working diligently on it. I received my first set of edits back from the publisher in November and I have been writing/rewriting/revising ever since. Why so long? He has won awards for many of those mediums so it would seem that he knows what he is talking about. We talk about a lot of things in what I would argue is one of the best interviews ever for Get Published. I got […]

It was done through a Writers In Schools program and I was to do two presentations to two Grade 8 classes Monday morning. Forty-five minutes each in the school library. I’ve known for a few weeks what I was going to talk about: Writing from Experience. I chose that topic because, when I first started to write seriously, I […]
