Get Published Episode 130 – Marty Chan, Extraordinary Writer

130 episodes. Wow! I can never thought I would be able to claim that number when I started Get Published. Now that I’m here, I have a hard time concieving of the day when the show won’t be part of my life. What better way to celebrate the milestone but by having another awesome guest. Today, you will hear me talk to Marty Chan. Marty is an author, playwright, and screenwriter for radio and television. He has won awards for many of those mediums so it would seem that he knows what he is talking about. We talk about a lot of things in what I would argue is one of the best interviews ever for Get Published. I got […]

More Adventures in School Visits

Last Monday I had my first paid school visit. Note, I didn’t say, “my first school visit”. That actually happened last month when I spent the morning with a Grade 3 class at Ecole’ Holy Name school. That first visit was done as a donation of time for a school fundraiser. This time, however, I went as an honest-to-goodness paid author. Get Published Episode 129 – David Laderoute

I had the privilege to talk to David Laderoute. David is a Geologist, retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Canadian Army Reserves, entrepreneur and a writer. He has several short stories in print in various small press publications and has written extensively for role-playing games. He is active on Wattpad and his debut novel, Out of Time was released by Five Rivers Publishing in December of 2013. We had a great conversation that I think you will get a lot out of. I’ve also been working my way through first revisions of Mik Murdoch: The Power Within for my editor for almost two months now. I won’t deny that I find revisions to be somewhat grueling. You need to consider what […]
