Independent Publishing

I have wanted to independently publish a book for a long time now but I’ve been a little bit afraid cautious. I know many talented people who have successfully done exactly that which has only fanned the flames for me. The problem has always been, I know how much work goes into publishing a book. Excitement for the Apocalypse is Building

I have been working toward getting my book Scouts of the Apocalypse (formerly Boyscouts of the Apocalypse) published for a couple years now. For a number of reasons, that fire was rekindled in the past months and now, we are on the cusp of it being a reality. I’ve written about 20% new material for the original story (that was podcast and currently sits on Wattpad) to round out the characters and address a few of the comments from my beta readers. Huh?!?

I was going to write a post that asks whether character or setting are more important. That is, I was going to write it until I realized just how BIG a topic that can be. If I were to do it justice, I would probably need to spend a week or so planning and researching it and then several days to write it. Alas, those are days I don’t have.
