For those of you who are new to writing or even to submitting your work, I’ve got a revelation that you may or may not want to hear: the publishing industry is slow. Now before you cry out “Leave the poor publishers alone!” I want you to know I don’t say that as a criticism. I am simply stating a fact. I had really high hopes for the day, today. It’s Friday, of course, and I had no plans for the evening. That meant I had a great opportunity to write a HUGE amount on my NaNoNovel. Well, I actually did a 1000 words more than I reported yesterday. I’m not sure how I managed it, but I did. So, on to today. I managed about 300 words in the morning before work. Then I actually did some writing at lunch time. It won’t happen often, but it was nice to just sit and plunk away at the keyboard mid-day. I am certainly LOVING the story so far and some of the characters are really coming to life for me. I also had something cool happen.
