It’s that busy time of the year when there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Come to think of it, that really describes any time of year for me, but the holiday season is especially full. Mercifully, my shopping has been finished for quite a while so that isn’t in the way but I still have my Scout and Cub commitments along with all the other holiday related goodness too. Holy Carp!

I’ve been suffering from low energy and motivation levels for the past couple weeks, but I never thought it was this bad. How bad is it? Well, it’s obviously bad enough that I FORGOT to post last Wednesday. That’s only the second time since this site was started more than two years ago. What the hell? Jaym started out as a writer, added reporting, administrating and promotional work and then made a joke on twitter that led to her becoming an editor. Dealing with Disappointment

If you are a writer, you have to get used to disappointment. Maybe your story doesn’t go the way you want it. Maybe it doesn’t go at all. Or perhaps, worst of all, you write something you love only to have it rejected. And then rejected some more. I had thought I was ready to deal with any disappointment. After all, I’ve been rejected numerous times only to rise again and submit some more.
