Mik Murdoch, Audio book

One thing that I have a lot of difficulty with is looking at my own work with an unbiased eye. I suspect that is a problem many writers have. For the first time, I have heard (if not read) what it is like for my audience. I am listening to the Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero audio book proof and it is very strange for me. I’m not doing the narration so I am hearing someone else’s interpretation of the book. It is giving me a brand-new appreciation of the story. What I am VERY bad at (and hence the title of this post) is promoting my work once it is out there. I don’t know what it is. Maybe I’m worried that I will talk TOO much about my writing and drive people away. I’ve seen many other people do exactly that. All I get from them […]
