The Tank is Empty

I always try to be upbeat but as the year approaches its end, I find myself out-of-gas. Not my car but my ability to stay creative and going at full speed. It has been a great year; Dimensional Abscesses, Scouts of the Apocalypse and Jack Kane and the Statue of Liberty were all released not to mention the start of Evil Alter Ego Press. I can complain. But all those projects (as well as our first new novel, The Fountain by Suzy Vadori) and the preparation for and travel to Japan for the 2015 World Scout Jamboree have left me feeling pretty wrung out. Okay. I have been pretty unavailable the past while. No posts, no Tweets, no Facebook. In fact, not a whole lot of anything. Did I fall off the face of the Earth or visit a Bizarro Alternate-Earth like I’m claiming? See, that would be telling. Either are possibilities, I suppose. Let’s assume I DID in fact visit a Bizarro Alternate-Earth as I claimed on Twitter today. If that were true (and I’m not saying it isn’t) what did I encounter there? I know the saying usually goes, “Life imitates art” but it also affects art. I’m sure you will agree that there have been many times when you have come home, tired from a long day at work, when the thought of anything but bunny slippers, television and a comfy chair almost leaves you screaming.
