A New Day Dawns

We’re all tired of talking about it. We’re all tired of reflecting on it. And yet, it is now part of our daily lives. Yes. I am talking about wearing pants. The weather is getting colder here and pants are becoming more and more necessary. Not just to keep those increasingly frigid blasts of air from freezing important bits and pieces but because it is expected that those of us who have to go into the office should be professional. Enjoying the Summer

There has been a lot going on in life lately. Not just mine, but the entire family. But I can’t blame the business for my lack of writing productivity. In fact, I’m going to do something completely out of character and not blame anything for my lack of writing productivity. I am, in point of fact, going to practice some of that self-care my day job continuously talks about. I am going to accept that I’m doing something other than writing and know that I will be getting back to it soon. No self-recrimination, no beating myself up. Just enjoy the summer and everything it presents. How is your summer going?

Where Has the Time Gone?

Just when I thought I was getting back into the habit of blogging regularly, I realize it has been a month since my last post. How can that possibly be? Where has the time gone?   It would be easy to say I’ve been busy. I mean, I have been busy with work, home, Scouts and, happily, writing. I have been able to maintain a regular writing cadence. In the month of May, I wrote almost every day; 27 of 31 days. That added an extra 11, 000 words to my work.
