What a way to start my second year of ‘Get Published’. I got to talk to Lorina Stephens, Owner and Publisher at Five Rivers Chapmanry. Lorina has a lot of interesting things to say; I learned a lot in our discussion and I know you will too. We also have a very good writing question. I hope you enjoy the episode. -Michell Show Notes 00:00 — Opening – Get Published, Episode 24 – Interview with Publisher Lorina Stephens Everything has to start somewhere and this is the start of “Get Published” 0:14 — Introduction – Get Published, Episode 24 – Interview with Publisher Lorina Stephens Welcome to the show. 00:58 — Promos: Archangel http://archangelnovel.com 02:52 — Feedback – Get Published, Episode 24 – […]

Get Published Episode 23 – A Chat with author Simon Rose
Repeat after me: “Happy Anniversary, Get Published!” Say it everywhere you go. Shout it from the rooftops. If anyone asks what the heck you’re talking about, send them here. Sound like a plan? Well, maybe not, but I’m certainly pleased to tell you that this is my one-year anniversary episode. I’m even happier to have my friend, Simon Rose as my guest. Simon is an author with six YA Science Fiction and Fantasy novels currently in print. He is a tireless worker (OK, maybe he DOES get tired, but he still works hard) at promoting himself and his books. He is involved in several different capacities within writing and he has a lot of interesting things to say. I hope […]

Happy New Years, Everyone. I wanted to start the new year out talking about my own personal goals for 2010. I have some ambitious plans for the coming year that I want to share with you. I’ve also read/heard that everyone sees characters differently. Too much description of what a character looks like could pull the reader out of the story. Again, I like to err on the side of too little. Maybe that’s because […]
