Newsletter
At long last, I have a newsletter.
I know that may not sound Earthshaking or momentous, but it marks a new chapter in my writing career. The name of the chapter? Self-promotion.
Believe it or not, I really haven’t done much for self-promotion in the past. Yes, I have a Facebook account and a Twitter feed. I also have this website. Those are all somewhat passive mediums. I post stuff and hope that people will follow and read what I’ve done.
The newsletter is different (at least, in my mind). I am actively asking people to sign-up for it. I’ve been putting sign-up sheets out at my events and I now have a spot on the website for you to say you are interested. More proactive than reactive for one thing. For another, I’ve come to accept that what I’m doing is something people want.
Announcements
In my first newsletter, which went out at the beginning of the year, I had a couple BIG announcements. Announcements that haven’t made it to the website yet.
The first is, I have (finally) found a home for my very first novel. The novel, titled The Goddess Renewed was finished many years ago. It is a fantasy novel and is still one I am quite proud of. I have evolved as a writer since it was completed, but it is still a good read. The first book in a trilogy, it is scheduled for release in May of this year by Champagne Books. I received the good news January 1st and I cannot wait to share it with you.
The second announcement is, Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero will soon be available as an audio book. Evil Alter Ego Press is making the move into audio books and Mik Murdoch, Boy Superhero is the first iteration of that. We have a fantastic narrator and it will be wonderful to have it available in audio form.
