Happy Friday!
NaNoWriMo is over. For me, it was a huge success. I was able to hit the 50,000 words in 30 days AND I was able to finish my Mik Murdoch, book 5, first draft.
More importantly, I feel like my joy for writing has been rekindled. I already am planning to write 3 new books in 2024 (not least of which is Jack Kane 3 with my writing partner, JR Murdock).
I feel like it should be 5 books next year, but I don’t want to set myself up for failure.
The weekend is here
The weekend is always something I look forward to. Not because I sleep in or take time to do nothing. If anything, I’m busier on weekends than I am during the week.
But during the week I work full-time. I usually have very little energy to do much more. The weekends?
Well, I get to spend time with my family (favorite thing) and run errands (less favorite). I do all the things I don’t have time to do during the week. At least, I try to do all the things I don’t time to do during the week.
Sometimes there is just too much. I’m sure we’ve all experienced that.
I couldn’t sign off the week without posting
After so long neglecting this site, getting back into the habit of posting regularly feels good. When I was updating my Mik 5 progress counter I realized I couldn’t leave the site without wishing all of you a Happy Friday.
Thank you to those of you who have stuck with me. Welcome to those of you who are new to my world. I hope we have a chance to properly connect.
