Get Published Episode 63 – John Mierau, Creative Force

John Mierau is a wordsmith, a story teller, a scifi and fantasy hack not to mention, first and foremost, a family man. He is also a fellow Canadian podcaster and, as far as the Parsec awards are concerned, one of my main competitors. He is also a great person to talk to and I am honoured to have him on my show.

I also talk about doing guest posts and the value of it to both the post writer and the site owner.

I hope you enjoy the show.

  1. Finding a person or group to give honest, if not brutal, reality checks on writing is so rare and crucial to improving skills. While new authors need encouragement, I find I want constructive criticisms much more.
ps. I have a short story in the recently released Big Book of Bizarro. A zombie erotica short story written while I wait for the next rejection letter (or no response as is becoming more common) for my last novel. On to the next project.

  2. Thanks for the comment, Michelle. I’m almost of the opinion that quality critiques are worth more than the sale.

    Congratulations on the short story.
