Hey there! Welcome to ‘Get Published’. I’m your host, Mike Plested.
Jeff Hite and I have been having a lot of fun with our first book published under our Evil Alter Ego Press banner. We have been learning a lot about creating a book and bringing it to market. Part of that learning has been around promotion.
You will have likely heard a couple interviews with contributors to the anthology. Today I am bringing you another one, this time with Julayne Hughes. Julayne is a writer, editor and all around awesome artist and I am delighted to talk with her today.
You might be asking yourself, when will he stop flogging this book on me by bringing this contributors to the show?
All I can say is, each of the contributors brought something different and good to the table with the anthology and they all have something to say about writing. I hope you will humour me for a little while longer.
And while I am flogging our book, let me remind you that Parsec Award season is upon us once again. If you aren’t tired of my antics yets, perhaps you will consider nominating Get Published for the award this year. I know I would appreciate it. I will have the link in the show notes
And before we begin the show, I would like to remind you that if you have any questions or comments, you can send them to podcast@michellplested.net. If I don’t know the answer to your question, I will find the person best suited to answer it and play it on the show.

I am guilty of a terrible omission. I neglected to give a shout-out to the Every Photo Tells . . . podcast on which I have two stories. Go to http://www.everyphototells.com to listen to them and a bunch of other great stories – all inspired by photographs.
Yes. Definitely don’t forget EveryPhotoTells. Awesome podcast. I even have a story there. 🙂
