I Now Have a Newsletter!

Newsletter At long last, I have a newsletter. I know that may not sound Earthshaking or momentous, but it marks a new chapter in my writing career. The name of the chapter? Self-promotion. Believe it or not, I really haven’t done much for self-promotion in the past. Yes, I have a Facebook account and a Twitter feed. I also have this website. Those are all somewhat passive mediums. I post stuff and hope that people will follow and read what I’ve done. The newsletter is different (at least, in my mind). I am actively asking people to sign-up for it. Scouts of the Apocalypse: Zombie Masters in Final Copy Edits

If I had a megaphone I would be shouting out “Scouts of the Apocalypse: Zombie Masters is in Final Copy Edits!” Truly, I would be. This book, for many reasons, has been a long time coming to get to this point. But, we are finally here and I couldn’t be happier! The cover is all but finished, the layout is started. The new badges are here (I’ll be showing those off in a few days). It finally feels real. Of course, LOTs of promotion to do and hopefully lots of books sold. 🙂

Learnings from the 2018 Calgary Horror Con   I went into the Horror Con unsure what to expect. I’ve almost gone as a vendor twice only to have things fall through at the last minute. This year I was committed and I’m glad I was because I learned a couple things while there. I did not make the same mistake here that I did at the Comic Expo; I didn’t bring six cases of books.
