The Galley Has Landed

The next major step in getting Mik Murdoch: The Power Within released has hit. I received the galley for the book last week. What happens next is I go through the book and check for spelling & grammar issues. That means any mistakes are ultimately my fault. 🙂 After that, the book should be ready for printing, Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) and August release. Exciting stuff! So, a short update but lots going on.

Get Published Episode 137 – Sue Baiman Gets Her Edit On

I have been privileged to meet and know several authors, editors and publishers as they developed their careers. One of those is Sue Baiman. I met Sue virtually several years ago and in person last year at Balticon. Sue has gone from being a Twitter friend to a very competent and confident editor over that time. I mean, every time I work to my limits of capacity, when I finally allow myself to slow down for even the briefest moment, I get sick. Not every time, mind you, but often enough. During the marathon session I’m perfectly fine. So, does that mean I should shoot for the moon and never slow down? Not at all. In reality, the longer I burn the candles at both ends, the […]
