It is always very rewarding to meet new people and build those online relationships. It is even more cool (for me, anyway) when someone reaches out to me. Phoenix Rising: A Steampunk Symphony
I have had the good fortune to read and enjoy the work of Tee Morris and Philippa Ballantine for several years. I like the writing styles of both but they are very different. When I heard that they were collaborating on a book, and a steampunk one at that, I was cautiously optimistic. May 28 – 30th was the Memorial Day weekend in the United States. That means Balticon was in full swing. Last year I was fortunate enough to attend, but, alas, funds to go this year were simply not available. So, for me, and others like me, the weekend was just that, a weekend much like any other.
