I don’t know if any of you have ever noticed, but success is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, you are achieving things you have worked on for a long time. On the other hand, you suddenly have a lot more to do with those achievements and less for everything else. That has definitely been the case for me. Since the final revisions for Mik Murdoch began in earnest, I have had less time for podcasting, writing, television and a host of other things that I enjoy. Get Published Episode 87 – Brand Gamblin Talks Self Publishing
Today’s episode is a bit of a departure for Get Published. Ordinarily, you will hear promos from various people or podcasts. You will get a Tips and Typos section about a topic and finally an interview with one of my special guests. You will still be getting all of those things, but today, they will all be related to Brand Gamblin. For those of you who do not know Brand, he is a self-published author of three novels currently, some of which are podcast. He also has several short stories published. I know all of these very smart, very clever people and new ideas are popping up all the time. The problem is, I keep taking on new projects. It has gotten to the point where I’m almost afraid to list them because I overwhelm myself when I do it. Suffice it to say, I have two podcasting, three editing and […]

Without proper communication, any project will likely fail. When you are working with another person who is also busy, that failure is practically guaranteed. Take, for example, the Action Pack Podcast, which is scheduled for release the end of this month. Scott Roche, JR Murdock and myself are each writing a story in serial form with a new episode every month. That means writing, recording and production of the podcast each and every month. If even one of us fails to have our individual story element finished, the whole thing falls down. That means we need […]
