Get Published Episode 97 – Mark Leslie, Book Nerd with Many Hats

For those of you who have the joy of Black Friday, I hope you survived the mayhem unscathed.  Rather than going shopping, I went out with my Scouts to do our Survival Shelter Camp. There was lots of snow and lots of hunters around, but I’m pleased to report that everyone who went came back intact. Still, I’m undecided whether the camp or Black Friday shopping would have been the easier choice. On today’s show I speak to Mark Leslie Lefebvre. Get Published Episode 90 – Tee and Pip Collaborate

90 episodes and still going. When I started planning Get Published almost four years ago, I never thought it would last this long. But it has and I am very proud of the show and all the wonderful people I have the chance to talk to as part of it. Get Published Episode 57 – A Talk with New Horror Master, James Melzer

I’ve been meaning to have James on the show almost since the show began, but it never quite happened. That oversight has been taken care of in this episode. I also received a question from @K_A_Dewberry on Twitter that I discuss in the “Tips and Typos” section. It’s a question I get a lot. Namely, “when should I start building my platform”. I also wanted to give you all an update on my book’s progress. As you […]

I’m more of a novel reader and while I enjoy vampire fiction the recent trends in that genre haven’t really struck a chord with me. Still, I think I was fated to read this book. When I first opened it to a random page, the story was taking place in Calgary where I live. That doesn’t happen every day so I picked up the book. I read it cover to cover over the course of a week during my daily commute. Evolve has a nice assortment of 24 short stories from a wide-range of authors including Kelly Armstrong and Tanya Huff as […]
