NaNoWriMo – Day 15

So, according to the date, I should now be at 25,000 words to be on track. I’m happy to report that I’m significantly ahead of that number. I finished the day with xx,xxx words to my credit. Believe me, it feels awesome to be in control of my NaNoWriMo. I got some writing done this morning and what a difference plotting makes. I was able to knock off about 150 words despite only having ten minutes to work on the story. Obviously 150 words is a drop in the bucket towards hitting my daily total, but they are words I didn’t have to write later on. So, I had Scouts tonight and the boys were being somewhat trying. NaNoWriMo – Day 14

It is clear that NaNoWriMo is hogging all my available brain power. Case in point, I was reminded this morning that I had an episode of “Get Published” due for release today. I knew it was coming up, but for some reason I thought it was next weekend. Fortunately, I had my guest interview already done so the amount of effort was considerably less. Still, for me to forget the weekend for release is kind of a big deal for me. I’ve only been doing it for the last 22+ months with fail. You might think it would be top of mind. I have figured out why I’ve been so tired. The time change to Daylight Savings seems to have thrown my system for a loop. It has meant that every evening when I start to write I get hit with a wave of fatigue. It makes it hard to concentrate, but I’m still getting the writing done. As expected, I didn’t have any time to work on my writing during the day, but I was able to get back at it in the evening. And I was even able to […]

NaNoWriMo – Day 12

I’ve come to the conclusion that I simply cannot make any plans with regards to my writing. This week has been even worse than usual. Probably why I’ve noticed it at all. Now before you say, “Michell, you’re already past the 30,000 word mark and the month isn’t even half over. Why are you complaining?” let me tell you the short, but sad story of my woes. Yesterday, I was home from work because of Remembrance Day (Veteran’s Day to all you Americans out there) and I had some crazy idea that I would get a lot done. I was going to get my NaNoNovel completely plotted out and actually make some good headway on the story itself. Yeah, right. […]
