There are times when it is impossible to get things going. Maybe you’re tired, having personal problems, overwhelmed or simply worn out. Me, I’m tired this week. Tired of being sick, that is. It’s times like this that I realize just how much I’ve got going on and how little spare time I have. That extra nap because I’m sick really cuts into the productivity. A good example of this is last night. I got home around 9:00 PM from a work function. I was struggling to stay awake (earlier in the day, I nodded off in the dentist’s chair). Get Published Episode 78 – Anne Toole and Clarion West
I am very excited to announce the arrivial of The Action Pack Podcast. I’ve listened and read all three stories and I think they are great. Mind you, one of them is mine, so I’m probably just a little bit biased. The stories are also available as a monthly eMagazine that is available for $0.99. You can find out more at www.actionpackpodcast.com. In this episode, my special guest, Anne Toole and I, talk about Clarion West. I’ve heard lots about the Clarion and Clarion West programs over the years and it was great to hear about it from someone who has experienced it. My friend and co-author, JR Murdock also lends his own unique perspective on writing with another Unorthodox […]

When we conceived the idea of the Action Pack Podcast, we wanted to do a few different things. We wanted to combine three different authors with three different stories in a single podcast. We wanted the stories to each be a single story arc that lasted a year and lastly, we wanted to give our audience two ways to experience the stories: the free audio podcast; and the eVersion (ePub, Mobi and PDF) for $0.99. We thought, if we did it this way, it might widen our audience because there are those people who don’t do podcasts but read and vice-versa. We also hoped that if you enjoyed the stories, you might support us through the purchase of the eVersion […]

How in heaven’s name could you create an entire anthology around that premise? As it turns out, that isn’t what Carol Hightshoe did with Zombified. Instead, she twists the zombie mythos to bring a new flavor to the whole thing. Granted, some of the stories do feature traditional zombies, but others have zombie incarnations I’ve never considered. For example, one story features a zombie super-hero. I found myself really enjoying the anthology. The stories are varied, some with the perspective of the victims and others […]
