2014 was another great year. Another book released, one almost ready for release, and several other works written. I also saw growth in the popularity of my Mik Murdoch series. I am hoping 2015 will continue that trend. And, I have all of you with me too. That has proven to be the greatest reward of all. Thank you for your continued support. Nearing the End (of the year)
The end of the year always feels like a deadline of sorts. I had a lot of plans and goals (both work and personal) set at the beginning of the year and now, I’m trying my very best to ensure that I’ve achieved them all. There are always a few things left hanging out there to be finished but this year I feel like I’ve had a good year. I didn’t get everything I’d planned finished, but I did get a lot of them. Last weekend I did something I’ve never done before – I gave myself permission to not write – something totally different than simply saying, “I’m not going to write tonight.” Giving myself that permission meant I could go forward without feeling guilty about not writing. It also meant I could clear my mind of all the clutter for a few hours and only think about my stories in passing.
