The Galley Has Landed

The next major step in getting Mik Murdoch: The Power Within released has hit. I received the galley for the book last week. What happens next is I go through the book and check for spelling & grammar issues. That means any mistakes are ultimately my fault. šŸ™‚ After that, the book should be ready for printing, Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs) and August release. Exciting stuff! So, a short update but lots going on.

Never Done

I submitted my Mik Murdoch: The Power Within manuscript a few months ago. I will admit, when I emailed it to my publisher and editors it was with a sigh of relief and a hope for some downtime. What I always fail to do is consider all of the other stuff I have going on all the time. Yes, there is family, and house and work, but I’m talking about trying to move the writing career yardstick forward. I know I’ve talked about the fact that I’ve been worried about whether my book […]

That, of course, just means I have finished another chapter in the road to publication. There are still many, MANY things to do: Prepare and send out Advanced Reader Copies (ARC’s) for review (Lorina Stephens is working on that as I type, I am sure); Create a book trailer; Get publicity for myself and the book; Book launch; Write the next book in the series. Am I missing anything? Undoubtably. As I have never done this before, everything is new to me. I am pretty sure I have left a few things out. So, let’s talk about book […]
